About Dr. Jenn Pereira, LPC (Qualified Supervisor), RPT-S, CPT-S

Hi! I'm so glad you found us!

A little about me:

I've been a clinician in the field for about 26 years, and a supervisor for 20 of those years!  AND, I love every moment of supervising and supporting clinical development. Professionally, In addition to seeing client's through the BTWC, I also work as a Professor for ASU where I have the opportunity to not only teach skill and technique-based courses like Counseling Skills, Trauma, Counseling Children, Play Therapy, Advanced Techniques, Grief and Loss in Counseling - I also get to supervise Master's and Doctoral students in their Practicum and Internship experiences.

In my clinical career, I began as a play therapist (Child-Centered specifically) - which has always been my first love!  I have worked with numerous children and teens over that time who have reminded me again and again that adversity in life can be faced when we have support and love.  This is one reason I care deeply about being a Registered Play Therapist and Supervisor - It's important to be a part of the growth of new play therapists and clinicians in the field!

I have also spent those years working with client's across the lifespan to support their development of meaning, purpose, and a life well-lived!

I work with supervisees of all levels, as well as clinicians looking to begin or enhance their own supervisory practice!

Supervision Experiences

Individual Supervision

(Typical fee: $120.00/Sess)

Together, we'll design a structured process and space for you to discuss your clinical work and reflect on growth edges/challenges, and provide you with guidance on improving your practice. Supervision is a critical part of professional development, especially for those in the early stages of their careers or anyone who wants to ensure they’re practicing ethically and effectively!

Play Therapy Supervision
RPT and RPT-S

(Typical Fee: $120.00/Sess)

Play Therapy Supervision is a specialized form of clinical supervision that supports the development of clinicians who use play therapy as a primary modality. It focuses not only on case conceptualization, ethical and cultural competence, and professional development—but also on the unique dynamics of working with children through play. It often includes experiential, developmental, and expressive elements that mirror the modality itself.

Play Therapy Supervision is a structured, developmentally informed process that facilitates the supervisee’s competence in using play therapy techniques. It integrates traditional supervision goals (e.g., ethical practice, clinical skill development) with play-based understanding, child-centered perspectives, and often creative or expressive techniques.

“Play therapy supervision is not merely clinical supervision for someone working with children—it is a reflective, experiential, and relational process that honors the symbolic language of play.”
(Schaefer & Kaduson, 2007)
